Ah okay. Now i also know, why it worked in Denise, HOXS and on my real 1541, when i first tried it, because there i always used JiffyDOS, while i didn't use it in VICE and that was the reason for the deviant behaviour here. Without Jiffy, this crack works nowhere. Just hadn't thought, of trying it out without Jiffy. Indeed, the problem is solved in that NTSC-fixed crack, that DIDI has linked. Strange that the GB64, even in V18, still uses this broken Illusion crack. Maybe they also tried the game out, only with active JiffyDOS? *lol*

They forgot to turn off the sprites before loading, hence the loading fucks up. Jiffydos is immune to this type of error because it automatically turn them off during loading.
Selecting your level with joy down/up but don't press fire,
enter vice monitor
f d000 d010 0
x
then press fire, the level will load and it will start. There is no fastloader so it will take its time.
Very sloppy release.

For whatever reason, it does load the levels fine after the intro if you use Jiffydos

Kal: Loading levels hangs on real hw here (vanilla C64 + 1541-II), so I'd say it's broken.

I was wondering about this thing, Mr. Ammo wrote, especially because this is the version, the GB64 recommends and it seems, that in VICE, it always hangs in track 19, when the level-files are loaded via the first file on the disk (and not individually, which is also possible). In Denise, HOXS, Z64K and on my real 1541-II, it works, to load the levels over this menue-file. I also tried around in the drive-settings of VICE, but couldn't find the right settings, to make these level-files load beyond track 19. In VICE this only works, when TDE is turned off and only VDT is used, while in all the other emulators, that's not the case. Strange. What could be the problem?

This crack is broken. Loading the level files manually works. Just don't load the initial file with the intro and title/selection screen.
