There was one group that put out a crack, I believe it was from a member of Talent.

I could understand cracking commercial software but to crack a 'utility' meant for sceners showed just how desperate the times were becoming. Even the group members of the crack agreed it was a poor idea to have done such a thing.

As I recall, this utility relied heavily on undocumented opcodes. It's an easy crack but meant more for protection against lamer groups with little programming knowledge.

The fix was simply turning off the run-stop disable in the intro as that corrupts the save routine in the utility :)

Just requested by Mike as a long-lost item in his C64HQ interview, and I happened to remember archiving it just last week...

Was somewhat controversial at the time and I seem to recall workarounds/"cracks" for it being posted within a couple of weeks, if that.
