Hahaha! I had a great time reading that.

Hardly surprising considering the dazzling academic background of the main coder, 18 year old Paul O’Connor.
After taking an entry exam for Cambridge at the age of 14 he’s been there since and is now studying for a doctorate in Maths and Psychology”

have added a zip file called "mindsmear from zzap" which contains scans of the april fool page and the "reveal" from the following month. seems quite relavent in a historical scene context to this particular release. (to me anyway)

It's actually all there. 3 frames, press A to change :) No music in it though, I think that was done as some kind of competition after the April 1st joke..

yes, the version i saw was a demo comprising of 2 bitmap images which swapped on the press of the spacebar.

One of two static screens from a fake game that Zzap! 64 came up with for an April fools day joke - there is a second, sadly i don't have it any more because the disk died.
