Nice, but not his best work. Interesting to see nonetheless he's up to the challenge for plain Hires, too! ;-) Btw: I'm from the fraction that liked the bird picture better... Reason: It has more style-experimentation! ;-) But working with Hires you're all set for MUFLI, hehe!... Just import those pics and have a ball!...

Hannenz: "amazing to see how hires beats all that overloaded gfx-modes by far!" - ermm.. that's like saying a Pentium 133 beats a Pentium 4 by far! ;-) Depending on the advanced gfx-mode (UFLI, MUFLI, AFLI) it's the same thing, only with more possibilities. And as always it *only* matters what the guy using it does with it, but it doesn't mean that plain hires is "better" than advanced modes... Unless you want to use the gfx in a Demo that is ofcourse! ;-)

Thanks a bunch for all the replies, good to see others are enthusiastic about hires stuff :D
I changed the picture a bit, fixing minor details, because I'm an anal bastard!!!
I think I have to give my pics a few days after I finish them and then look at them again AND then release them :)

I liked yesterday's pic a lot more. Whilst this one is nicely pixelled for the mode, I'm not really attracted to this style-wise. Great seeing all these releases though!

Well, I wouldn't say HIRES has fallen from grace, maybe artists have become distanced from traditional C64 standards and prefer more?
