Finally works 100% for 1541u2 REU users with the latest 2.5x firmware. Fastloads and all. Nice!

Just noticed that with the current latest 1541u2 firmware (v2.4) this works works a bit further now, all levels are loaded into REU if fastloader is disabled. After that it freezes with a black screen though..

Just tested this on a very recently acquired 1541uII, wondering how it works :) mounting the a-side and loading * seems to freeze (+ garbled chars if retro replay is on)
