I was thinking of an Amiga image-manipulation program, which I thought to be called "the surgeon". Now I realized that it was "butcher" while the surgeon was an operation simulation ;-)

zz, zz, check the included readme.txt ;-) all right: you can edit multicolor images (in Koala format). Contrary to painting progs you can edit screen-/color-ram and bitmap directly, so in fact you may edit the mc-image in a deterministic fashion... (:
