I think "new release" == "new entry" is a good principle. The open source development of these days (which is a good thing in most ways) makes people release new stuff whenever there are minimal changes. I think I actually preferred the way it worked when channels of distribution were more limited, so people actually did substantial improvements (well, at least in most cases) to the software between different versions. I think that is the problem, rather than the rules of CSDb, because the rules appear sane to me.

Minor update with the following changes...
UPDATE 3 17/02/09
Selective ordered dither implemented - now default Dithers pixels only if they dont fall in the c64 color range.
White is now displayed as white :-}

Ability to select background color (for asthetic purposes only. does not affect the 144x168 image)
