ok, I've merged the mem from $a000 with "Make it real" and made The_Zoo.sid, MRG now has 3 sids and own dir in HVSC =) | User Comment Submitted by Thinker on 2 June 2009
The only other music of MRG that survived.
Those two tunes are originally "The Scorpions" songs. I had to put them together here because... Well...
I only had the basic data loader for "The Zoo" left. So here is the composer that Mark used - he actually wrote DATA lines and POKEd the song into memory while he was creating his tunes. When I contacted Mark some days ago, he suggested to use the play routine of "187.5" or "Make it real" to play "The Zoo". So there you go.
- To play "The Zoo" first load and start "Make it real".
- stop the song using "SYS50000"
- load and run "The Zoo" (this will just POKE the song where it belongs)
- start it with "SYS50000"
It's nothing epical. ;-) I recorded the song to .wav this way and sent it back to Mark. He doesn't have any c64 stuff left, and probably never had an emulator running. He told me "yeah, but that's too fast. It was meant to be played at 50hz, not at 60hz". I don't know how to change that, but anyway. ("Make it real" should be correct though.) I still find it funny that he did his songs _this_ way.
Have fun,
Kai.
