Glad to clear that up. The Junkwaffles are a type of bi-pedal lizard people from the planet 'Deadbone' according to the original comic strips. They not 'crocodiles' and graffiti guys definately didnt create them, they just borrowed heavily from the comics. Look closer at graffiti collections now, and you will notice lots of Bode's characters. Also, my group Hype and the spin-off group Breeze Designs used several of Bode's characters throughout our demo's and mag's. Ive noticed a few other c64 groups use em too, and yep, I even remember the one from 'Graphical Dreams' as he (the junkwaffle) was holding an uzi, just like my first ever junkwaffle on c64, in Hype's first ever demo 'Hyperactive' tho it was a bit lame looking.

Hehe, coincidentally i used that crocodile (?) thing for Graphical Dreams (end part). After a drawing a friend of mine did on paper, i had no idea its true origins.

The Shadow: If you like these characters, just google, Vaughn Bode (the original comic book artist) Mark Bode (his son) Junkwaffle, Cheech Wizard, Cobalt 60 to see more characters and comics. Also graffiti artists the world over use these designs in their murals.
