Trivia:
The plan was to combine Multi Colour Bitmap with 8 Hires Sprites, and have the Spaceship move diagonally across the screen (using the 8 Hires Sprites). The Spaceship was going to appear on screen 4 minutes after the main image displayed, as a mini surprise for any viewer who happened to hang around long enough. Other ideas included sound samples of someone making noises along the lines of ‘hmm…’ ‘cough’ and ‘tut’. That was around March 2010. Fast forward to August 2010, along came Mufflon, the NUFLI and MUIFLI graphic converter.

Originally the stars were Multi Colour resolution, as was the planet Earth. Using NUFLI it was possible to have the stars as single Hires pixels. It also allowed for the planet Earth to be displayed using hires. It made sense to have all the stuff that was miles away displayed using Hires, and all the close up stuff, displayed using Lo-res Multi Colour.

‘Space Dream’ in no way pushes the limits of NUFLI, but it did allow me to display my picture, and improve it slightly. The reason behind the image simply came from a dream I once had. Although during the original dream, I was wearing white footwear, Earthwrom Jim style. The red moon surface was more like a spray can art red and yellow asteroid. As comical is it might sound, it was deadly serious.

’Space Dream’ is best viewed simply as a idea, rather than an amazing work of pixels, as this kind of thing interests me more at the moment. Future plans include ‘Red Dream’, and possibly some others. Transferring a still taken from a dream, and turning it into pixels has proved difficult, as the still can’t quite be viewed.

Space Dream before the additional adjustments were made to convert it to NUFLI
