ok after much deliberation i have tagged this as 1986.
Based on the greets again which seem to suggest that Dokk was a newcomer and that Bob Stevenson hadnt been seen on the net for a while.

Also mentioned is a commodore show at UMIST (University of Manchester, Institute of Science & Technology) which it mentions happening shortly. I went to that show and remember it being a bloody cold morning and that at the motorway services on the M6 i aced the arcade version of Yie ar kung fu on my first go, having played the much harder c64 version alot that summer. Hence my guess for this is just before sept/oct of '86
