@Jostein Topland:

Everything is done with just the standard Commodore charset. The wavy parts for example are animated using characters that have different levels of horizontal filling.
The scroll is scrolling 8 pixels per frame (one complete character), no 'smooth' scrolling needed, since it is 8 times larger as well it looks smooth anyway!

Side remark: from a database perspective, both ports should be made into separate entries.

Impressive stuff! How is the smooth wavy background done with the foreground text "Presents a demo coded by shadow..."? If it's smooth text scrolling, how come it's so fast and not jagged/blocky?

a curious n00b
