iAN: I wouldn't say "guess". I had a look at the decruncher code (the one used for part 3) and derived what bits to change in order to change the appropriate code byte. I hadn't studied this decruncher before -- Flexible Code Compactor, eh? Thanks for ID'ing it :)

wow, did you guess the bits in the crunched stream or have you actually recrunched it with the same cruncher (Flexible Code Compactor) after patching and then compared the prgs? anyway, nice solution

You can also do a

poke13963,244:poke13964,154

before running, if you don't want to run a relinked version for some reason.

works until 3rd part which actually works if you use Speeddos ROM (prg must be on d64) so it's not really broken =)
Doesn't work otherwise due to bad irq init, just by nopping one early CLI it
will work anywhere.
While 3rd part is unpacking, enter vicemon

un 820

when it pops up again

> 848 60
x

and it should start. Fixed version available http://iancoog.altervista.org/demo_fixes/MindForce_FCS_fix.rar
