@ZeSmasher: thanks for your hint. To be honest, I wasn't sure whether this was a bug or a feature (same for the flickering of the starfield). But you're right - it has to be a feature. I've updated my re-code :)

DocSnyder: when the logo builds up, letter by letter, the starfield stays inside the letters only. It seems you missed that detail in your cool conversion!
really cool intro. the best from FLT for me. I'd have used a different tune tho, that one belongs to the classic intro already.
