I just wanted to compare the pic to my Amiga original box of SG2, but the CAPS project guy still did not return it back to me. Anyway, recalling the box cover from memory it does seem quite similar.

It sure looks like a proper oldschool computer game GFX, rather than demoscene GFX trying to look like game GFX of the old days. Nice!

It's incredibly close to the original pic by Herman Serrano, only better. Note that the original also is quite confusing concerning that planet/drive/space thingy in the ship:

The blue in the ship looks like a planet rather than part of the ship as there's a predominance of blue background, especially as the stuff at the right side of the screen all seems to be leading to it.

I think it makes a magestic feeling and lonelyness feeling that I dig... when that is said there are something strange with the blue in the middle of the spaceship that destroys it a bit for me... but I really like it, and the first stare made me go WOW... but then it fell for me...

But a picture from master Bob is always welcome in my book, want to see more comming.

sorry, not that keen on this one. looks like a rush job to me. too much uneccessary attribute clash for my taste, most of which could easily have been cleaned up in a few minutes.

not one of his best, but better than Starglider 1.
