you're wrong about Double Dragon, both versions were done by PAL coders, first Melbourne House and second Ocean, done for the C64GS (and probably because Melbourne's version is so lame) | User Comment Submitted by Axess on 28 March 2011
Best version of the game!
@Krill: in the early years there were often two C64 game versions - one was programmed exclusively for the US and a second one for Europe, e.g. Double Dragon, Bionic Commando, ... | User Comment Submitted by Morpheus on 28 March 2011
Actually, I was *just* about to play this game. It's a cool looking one, no doubt the fix is just as good. Nice work Fungus! | User Comment Submitted by bepp on 28 March 2011
Good fixing! Classic game! I like the isometric graphics a lot, except from the sprite for the main dude/hunter. He looks pretty much like a pile of yellow garbage ;-)

Krill: nope I tried that already of course, there just isn't enough ram to do it without recoding the entire game and moving it to different memory locations. Not worth it to do imo. | User Comment Submitted by Krill on 26 March 2011
Good work, nice game. :)
It might very well be possible to pack all 5 stages into RAM so that the game doesn't need to load. The whole archive is barely 54 kilobytes, so it should pack well enough.
I was surprised to see a much prettier port of this game than e.g. Congo Bongo - are there more games than Congo Bongo and Zaxxon (e.g., Zaxxon vs. Super Zaxxon) of which there exist two or even more C64 ports? It's also funny to see that both games were originally made by Sega. (I'm referring to officially licenced titles, not clones of game ideas.) | User Comment Submitted by Frantic on 26 March 2011
Ah! Horray!
@Twoflower: Yes, you're completely right. | User Comment Submitted by Rough on 26 March 2011 User Comment Submitted by Fungus on 25 March 2011
Please re-download the fixed version. IDE64 bug is fixed. | User Comment Submitted by Fungus on 25 March 2011
Bug reported about not working with IDE64, will try to bugfix it asap. Sorry for any inconvenience. (*sad*) | User Comment Submitted by Sixx on 25 March 2011
Yepp, like opening an old bottle of wine! Thumbs up.

Congratulations Frantic! This was what you have been waiting for, right? :-) Great game and great work, no doubt. |
