Nice way of learning about the GBA version ;-)
Funny/paradoxical that REU/SuperRAM support was removed due to memory constraints ;-)
Thanks again for the MW series. MW #3 ranks among my top 10 most loved C64 games ever. | User Comment Submitted by cadaver on 15 February 2012
It's an old game of course, but was nice to sync with the GBA version and in that way bring closure to it. In some ways the GBA game is still superior, such as having visible bullets and loading all data near-instantly, but on C64 the screen is larger so you get more time to react to enemies.
In the loading picture, the direct transition from pink to brown on the skin is rather harsh. Of course that's not the only thing that could be improved :)
But new challenges await, the Hessian game project is at last proceeding after a long delay. I'm actually using a Google Code SVN for it, so development is sort of public all the time. (https://hessian.googlecode.com)
STE'86: yes, you mostly can't go wrong with anything that has to do with Snake Plissken..
Wile Coyote: what drive setup are you using? With fastloader ON (you *can* use it even with VICE fast drive emu) the screen should not blank while loading conversations, but only on level transitions. | User Comment Submitted by STE'86 on 15 February 2012
I would agree with Wile on the title screen.
Its just asking for a screen based on Snake Plissken | User Comment Submitted by Yogibear on 15 February 2012 User Comment Submitted by Sledge on 13 February 2012
A great game! And kiitos for the IDE64 support :) | User Comment Submitted by Wile Coyote on 13 February 2012
I thought the in game level graphics and sprites looked really quite professional.
The constant conversations were somewhat tedious.
The constant loading with black screen was a bit off putting.
The Loading screen could use a re work.
The game does feel different for a C64 game.
