"PS won't work because of conversion tools tht Timanthes has build in. IMO they're unbeatable."
i found it to be the most annoying converter tool ever :) and this gradient stuff can be done in photoshop fine, as seen back on tp7 =)

"...with results being announced in 2028."
i think the point of the compo was to piss off everyone involved so that they wont do such crap ever again.

just do the same layer stuff in ps, add some c64 friendly coloring & mufflon does the rest. the animations for the crest nufli anim demo did not need timanthes either. also last time I checked p1 converted a hue-saturation map better :)

Carrion+TIMANTHES+NUFLI, your color version of the Marilyn Monroe picture is just brilliant.

I stop now painting, I have no talent for it. :)

thats CARRION+TIMANTHES+NUFLI, but you could just as have used PS instead of Timanthes. It would have made no difference.

For a excellent graphician like you are Carrion, it should be a piece of cake. But for someone like me, that is not good in painting, it will be dificult. And I converted with GangED.

The GangED converted pic looks like this:

Well, no manual AA etc but this is GIMP (scaled, color-reduced, dithered then sent through koala-restriction-converter) result in seriously 3 Minutes. No offence, but if you spend 16 hours on a pic, why not do something genuine right from the start? You will appreciate it alot more I guess

Yes, it is a conversion of a PC pic from Marilyn Monroe. But it did take me 16 hours of work
and some own ideas and painting in it. Try to convert the PC picture of it with GangED and than
paint it good looking. You will see, that it is alot of work. Maybe there should be a new graphic compo
in each C64 party "PC2C64 Conversion GFX". I hope you enjoy the picture like I do. :)
