Thanks for the feedback. I lost my own game as tlr created a 0,5KB tune and he even solved the case better than me IMO. So maybe you're right and it's time to create some aggressive stuff and blow my 8580 off the socket before the deadline :)

@Stinsen: Great to hear that mate. Take a look at my HVSC folder, you may find something that you also like.

What Kristian said. Hope to hear another tune by you in this compo, but without size restriction, Necro. :-)

Spend a few bytes and get a little bit more variation, Necro :)

While I didn't like this tune at all it reminded me that I didn't write any feedback for a tune of yours which I really liked (World's Apart). I've listened to it several times since the Flashback compo and I think it's a very nice composition (especially the intro). :)

I like the action feeling about this, would also fit a game :)

Thanks for the feedback!

On the compo page, SIDwave's comment about size made me think and set me a goal/challenge. There were a few criteria in mind that I wished to fulfil:

- I wanted to make it as small as possible for me, I'm really happy as it's only 1,5KB and the next smallest one in the compo is 1,9 KB by Richard.
- using all 3 channels
- fill exactly 1 minute
- use as few patterns as I could (4)
- should not take than 5 minutes to create (I discarded 2 other worktunes because they crossed that limit)
- should be annoying a little :)

So this experiment was made to be as slim as possible, the main inspiration was Hubbard's 'Do or Die' that was used by Dynamic Duo back in time. I don't know enough about coding to try to create an own, smaller music driver (I'm not speaking about efficiency here, Cadaver's amazing GT/NT drivers are the king) but I think I could go lower using the Heartland game driver code (the bare driver is around 256 bytes or so) that I experimented with some time ago and make the tune in my Final III cart monitor, I guess, but it would have token much more than 5 minutes to make. If there are positive ears, I'm happy :)

Simple progressive and matured. Nice!

Ah, really like the rock sound \o/ Unfortunately the riff progression is too weak (imho). Sounds like you aimed to much for small size with transpose function.

Actually it is quite good. Sounds like solid intro tune to me!

5 minutes of work into 1 minute of tunelet and $05CC size, heading for the 'slimmest data' & 'most annoying' awards :)

Composed for 8580 but of course it should also sound nicely fucked up on 6581. Blessings y'all and have a nice compo mates!
