Thankyou all. Also icon, no need to feel sorry, I wasn't being sarcastic, i appreciate you noticed the intro and presentation of the title picture, which was basically our (lame) "contribution" to this old classic.

Sorry, my comment was made with a wink in the eye. Normaly a recrack is a deathsin but I think you got a way with it this time as you pointed out that it was not intended to be a real "release" and the "fakescreen" was nice executed! Being sarcastic in a comment is hard. My bad...

I fully agree to TheRyk. Take it easy. You made the source public, so nothing to worry about. Plenty of famous groups did that in the past as well, e.g. Hotline.
Cheers!

No reason for chastening yourself for the rest of your life :) Let someone who was beaten up for less serious scene crimes than recracking more than once tell you not to exaggerate your apologies. You learned your lesson, that's alright, but in the end, you shouldn't let anyone bring you down or stop you from doing and releasing whatever you want.

I guess there are alot of things in life which are more important :)

Apologies to anyone who may feel offended by this release. No harm was intended, it was just ment to be a creative re-interpretation of a 27 year old crack. (Thanks for noticing, icon). I never expected anyone would take this release serious, so many years later. Fun was the intent. Sorry, I promise anything remotely similar will not happen again. Hope you can all find it in your hearts to forgive my naive and unserious approach to the C64 as a hobby, and obvious lack of appropriate respect for old classic releases.

This is so strange. A recrack with a fake loadingscreen done and presented in a nice way! Rage against the recrack and fake screen. Thumbs up for the fakescreen and nice executed!Strange...

Thanks Scout. And yes, I was made aware of that within the first two minutrs after uploading it, and immediately removed it, but it reappeared. Not that I don't respect a good crack, just thought the pic was missing. But lesson learned.

This is a recrack.
Welcome to the forum scene.
Get ready for a shitstorm about your recrack.

Hmh, though you explained why you didn't use an original and I'm not as anal as others about re-cracking (as long as it is freely admitted and credited), you should have installed a highscore saver imho, which would need maximum one block more on disk.

Maybe apart from the (so-so) title pic, I don't see what makes this one worthier transferring to disk than other versions, e.g.
Commando +5HD or Commando & Space Invasion +7D

Meant to be constructive feedback

PLEASE Note! There is no "Recrack" option when uploading. This is a version of ABC's crack, but with added title picture and few trainers. Something I did when the ABC crack was the only version I had - Before I discovered csdb :-) I'm no cracker and I'm quite aware that recracking is lame :-)
