Edit: So the answer's no, this will most probably(!) be the last version of this game done by us. But you never know that for sure ;)

@ksubi: I normally use "V1.1" etc to make clear that there were things modified which exceed a normal crack but really change the game. Fungus would probably say that the 101% _or_ "JEWEL" would be enough to express that. But after the last ATA "101% +11DX [pal/ntsc]" I couldn't resist being a little foolish/tautological. I could also add "+D" for Docs or "[pal/ntsc]" to stress that it works on both video standards but since this was already the case with the coriginal and apart from the intro nothing had to be NTSC fixed, I'd rather not. For people who cannot read my scrolltext, I summed up everything in the summary of this entry.

Good job... so v1.1 infers that another version is in the pipeline?

I remember when i got this game and wondered about "Quelle Soft". Never heard of this club before.
Good work on trainers and fixes.

The guy is called 'french fries' if you pronounce his name in German, so what do you expect?

Just kiddin' he was a great coder at his time and did many games which were much more elaborate. I guess the ori was done in a rush, maybe Quelle just wired Ocean ??? $$$ in October and told them to finish some shooter for XMas business and the underpaid team did what they can. The score bug really looks like slopiness due to time pressure, my guess.

It's not an unfixed issue. As I said, my words are no criticism on the crack release, but on Pomfret's game.

@rough: Thx, wise words & we don't care a lot :)

But what u say about unfixed issues is true for sure, controls still suck a great deal, sprite collision is messy when picking up fuel or drowning guys,

however, tastes ARE different, I always loved this one - even with the unfair respawn situations, the strange scoring & whatnot. That's why I got in touch with CSixx who was mainly bashed a little for _re_cracking about a year ago and together we had some fun doing this and my bottom line is that - atm - this is the most playable version so it was worth it.

Tastes are different, but everytime I played that game I thought the controls truly suck, which means the game sucks as well. Some effort thou to smash out a jewel version. Galway's tune is by far the best about that game. (yes, I should consider just to judge the release, but who cares... really?!)
