In memory the text "The Mighty 3D Quinn" is found. Could it be that The Mighty Quinn was involved?

its not about forcing D64, its about preserving the original spread disks - because of things like this:
$ d64scan TCS_Demos.d64 -bammsg
BAM Message: -----call markus of radwar (02452/64461) to get all the new games !!!--------

Disk uploaded.

Btw, why not forcing people uploading D64 files or convert T64 to D64 automatically on the server if D64 files are prefered?

The reason why I extract the files to a seperate T64/D64 is that when you open the original D64 file you will most of the time not run the intended file.

Also some people zip or gz files which doesn't make sense to me either if it is just one file.

It would be nice if there was a guideline for this and a file naming convention.
