| @Franksey, sorry I only just read your message, the house was in Nottingham, so where like bulwell or aspley, the guy had just bought a mega drive (jap version) with “Bare Knuckle” and wanted rid of the C64. It had tons of tapes, but I noticed straight away this scruffy tape with “franksey” written on it. I enjoyed the contents , now my eyes were open to the demo scene and the rest is history. ;) thanks. |

| Thanks for everyone for showing an interest in my old demos :) Also thanks to MdZ for getting in touch and bring me back on here. I registered a user account years ago, but the activation didn't work properly so I couldn't login. Nice to see the story from FATFrost, my demos were not really circulated nationally or globally at their time as I wasn't in a group, wasn't swapping them much outside of my local friends, so I'd like to know a bit more about the story of the C64 you bought with the tapes, could be that you bought the 64 from someone I knew back then. I'll update some of the details about this demo and other demos on here and get some more files uploaded soon. |

Hehe it maybe a dream....
But no... When I went with my cousin to buy a c64 for him from someone's house in Nottingham, he had a few tapes... And one was a 90 minute crappy tape, but on it were loads of one file demos.... I never saw such a thing before.... Then when I got hold of my own c64 I nabbed the tape and started to study these strange demos. Then zzap64 started to arrive via the post office in my village and the rest was history... I saw BZPD advert and contacted Kenz and started buying a few demos and contacting others... I got my first disk drive buy swapping my boring Megadrive for a whole c64 setup with 1541mk2 action replay hundreds of floppies and other bits and bots... They boy laughed at me for swapping but I was ok in the end.... Hehe.. |
