Design and eye for detail won me over. Like how the snow flakes are grey behind the scroller for readability. Yes.

The coordinates are calculated like in zoom rotators. There are 2 rotated vectors, and those are added to get the rows/columns. It is a fixed 16x16 bob carpet, if I would zoom out more you would see a square of bobs rotating :) Coordinates are 11.5 fixed point, because then upper byte only contains char resolution steps, and clipping can be done by a lookup table on hi byte only. The accuracy suffers because of this. x/y movement low 3 bits is pre drawn into a character set, so drawing each bob is a matter of plotting 4 chars.

Moving the bobs left/right etc in a wraparound manner was hard to pull of, ended up using a 9-10 bit sinus, sinus low byte is used to scale the rotzoom UV vectors and use that for offsetting all bobs to get the wrapping movement effect. (sinus lo * vector /256)

Really love that ball routine.

Oswald, would you mind sharing some technical stuff on how the rotation and zoom works?
