i'd second what Jammer wrote, except that i got completely smashed and squashed by the sound of the rhythm section, the snare in particular, which is a surprise of sorts to me ;)

Does anybody have a SID version of this song somewhere? I'd be thankful for it :-)

My absolute fav on the compo that got to the top on my vote list there. You should have see the "Hein... What?!? WOW!" face from me when the tune started. It hit me in the mood, man. Also, loved the screen. F'n kudos, mate!

Thanks for discussing its tendency to surprise or the lack thereof. Actually, I've smoothened out some of the more radical (suprising?) modulations during the work process.

Maybe Level 6 will be suprising enough for some, Level 2 may be for others.

@GH: Cannot find any relation between so-so and not surprising, sorry ;) I love this tune but Hein already got me used to such structure, progressions and ideas. It's still extraordinary among others' tunes, but rather standard by Hein's standards :P

High Science. High Art.

@Jammer: Surprises take time sometimes and what's the point of releasing a "so so" tune in 2017 anyway ;)

Hein: Brilliant tune! :)

Jammer: Well, in many cases surprises seem to be "just for the sake of it" - I prefer that things just sound pleasant, so as you have mentioned before, I am probably just still an old fart. :D :)
And that's ok. We don't all share the same taste. We each do what we like to do, which is the beauty in it. :)
