What steals the show here is bitmap scroll that did fit into 16k! VSP and realtime mirrored bitmap are cool as hell! Nah, I have to +1 it! :)

Love the novel dithering styles on the logo, and nice work fitting a bitmap scroll and that text effect inside 16k. But yes, feels more like a demo part than an intro somehow?

(I know, I know, perhaps a case of pot/kettle here..)

An intro that feels more like a demo-part, which is not a bad thing. Any game following after this introscreen would probably feel quite underwhelming. :)

Great looking scroller, eyes got used after a while reading it too :D

Joe draws awesome stuff as always, Wiklund makes groovy stuff too. All in all, thanks for inviting us all to the greatest annual experience known to man.

iAN CooG: Because everything + colors didn't fit!

It would have been possible (and sane) to decrunch the intro AND colorram directly from where they are loaded, but wouldn't that be cheating, if the *whole* intro was never inside the 16k block? Now everything (including the decruncher) is copied to $4000-$7fff first and run from there. Just to be sure! ;-)

great scroll effect!

but jammer's got it, color choice is a problem, lack of contrast between text and background making text next to unreadable. why not some green/grey gradient for text scroll?

nice, but why the unnecessary custom packing? wasn't easier to just exomize mem $4000-$7fff ? =)
