Haven't tried the original, but this is solid stuff; graphics is exquisite, and the gameplay is superbly implemented! Very nice work by all involved, it'll be very hard to top this.

Quite an original concept and very playable. Great music, and strangely addictive too. Nice job.

It's also good that RGCD 16KB compo is allowing public release straight after a game is submitted to the compo, and qualifies :) I'm happy with that.

The lighting effect & software sprite implementation are spot on. I don't find the game itself that enjoyable (maybe the lighting radius is on the small side?), and the "small character" platformer genre feels quite crowded with l'Abbaye Des Morts and Zombie Calavera also out recently, but that's just me.

Errr... I meant great idea and atmosphere. Playability is a bit on weaker side however big jumps often save my ass :)

Besides, it's cool practical use of my very similar idea for 4k game which is in the making. Nice lesson for me what works and what doesn't.
