Now I see the most probably you are trying to launch it with the Chameleon's built-in loader, which is incorrectly loading in this case (as it doesn't let the autostart happen, but forces a RUN command instead). So it should be manually started with a LOAD command (after having the disk just mounted).

They all throw out an error, though the address number is different for each one.

I haven't got the possibility to test it on a Chameleon yet; but it rather looks like an issue with some other system components (custom ROM set, turbo setting, cartridge emulation etc.) to me. Have you also tried it with the previous two versions (v1.1 and v1.0) perhaps? If the behaviour changes, then it gives some clue on what to examine.

SDOS loads fine in Vice, but when I try to load it on my actual C64G with Turbo Chameleon, I get a load error:
?SYNTAX ERROR IN 53296
Does the program require a physical disk drive rather than emulated one?

One can get it back by disabling the fastloader with SYS700 if needed.

VERIFY rarely used? Oh man ...

It was already done so by the original VDOS version back in 1986, thus I have just kept the tradition (for staying backward compatible if possible). Since VERIFY is shared with LOAD in Kernal (having got the same call and jump vector), but VERIFY has never been much used in real (only useful for the datassette), it is the easiest place for such an extension.

Why is VERIFY used as DOS wedge command? Also it appears VERIFY itself doesnt verify anymore?
