I like what you're doing with the font colouring. As Didi says, though, should be vertically centered. It's crying to be in the side borders .. and IMO, shades of grey/blue would look better than orange and brown ;-) .. just change your "LDA #$08" to "LDA #$04" .. and you "LDA #$09" to "LDA #$04" and it looks much much better to me ;-)
