Wow, I've never seen this one. I definitely think it should have won first (beaten by manga? really?), although some of the other entries from that compo are iconic for the C64. Does anyone know how original this is? If it's Stone own concept, that makes it even more impressive to me. Keeper, will download...

For reasons unknown, among the many C64 images, forgettable images, Untitled has always stayed with me.

While the image isn’t obvious, it does, atleast to me, tell a story:
An alien location,
harsh weather conditions,
an almost human like creature heading home,
feeling all beaten up..

I remember this one as well. It still is as evocative as the first time I saw it, a minor setback might be the choice of FLI.
However, I love the way the gray scale got friends with aligning dots of colors in a subtle way.
The macabre deaths of any postmodern war imagined or experienced, inner or outer, psychological or physical.
