We, as the Lepsi De group, would like to thank all of you dear wonderful people of the C64 Scene for expressing your opinions! At the same time, we send cordial greetings :-) | User Comment Submitted by TLF on 11 July 2023
Wow, best remix of this I've head. | User Comment Submitted by Jammer on 10 July 2023
@Raf: if it was msx compo, it would've been disqualified. What's the rocket science behind this because I don't get your logic right now? :) Sure, it could've always been wild compo entry instead. | User Comment Submitted by Nordischsound on 10 July 2023
Raf is right here, I didn't saw it was a demo until now and this isn't demo at any point. It's just like my stuff, a pic and and a tune and I always upload those as C64 music release | User Comment Submitted by Raf on 9 July 2023
@Jammer: I may surprise you but in 2023 demos usually have something more than music and static image and such work should probably be moved to GFX and MSX compos, even the same PRG in both compo, 'what you on this'? | User Comment Submitted by Jammer on 9 July 2023
@Raf: that's probably why it was a demo compo - demos usually don't have any restrictions for covers being their soundtracks ;) | User Comment Submitted by Raf on 9 July 2023
Great music, nice graphics yet I don't understand why staff did accept it as a demo, it was obviously submitted this way by sebaloz to hunt for prizes (and staff was aware of that because we had a talk about that after competitions). I sponsored some stuff from what I produce for retro computers and sebaloz grabbed C64 PSU, not the first one as he told me ;)
moreover there is "prace w konkursach muzycznych i graficznych muszą być autorskie, tj. nie mogą być przeróbkami prac innych autorów," = "works in music and graphic competitions must be original, i.e. they cannot be alterations of works by other authors" and I'm not sure if it was concerning covers of music on top of obvious timbalanding of other ppl works released earlier, didn't ask anyone about that, just spotted that few minutes ago in competition rules. | User Comment Submitted by Yogibear on 9 July 2023 User Comment Submitted by Oswald on 9 July 2023
what HCL said, infact without HCL I'd still think its sprites :D | User Comment Submitted by Xiny6581 on 9 July 2023
Very nice to hear the final version :)
You got it 100%
Good work my friend. | User Comment Submitted by katon on 9 July 2023
Gregfeel My friend, it is clear to me that you are a talented musician. However, you put pixels that surprised me personally in a positive sense of the word! I'm glad that you also create a picture, a very good picture! I feel that I have support from you in painting for our future productions ;-) | User Comment Submitted by Mibri on 9 July 2023
Really nice to hear you got THCMod working for you on this - the sampled drums and keys are sounding clean and tidy, which isn't necessarily an easy thing to manage. :) There's definitely a place for this sample-based approach, offering a different spin on a familiar and widely-covered tune. | User Comment Submitted by Jammer on 9 July 2023
@Nordischsound: with a little difference that TheRyk didn't point to his own stuff ;) I get the dense marketing because of your various obligations but staying in your own lane instead of self-promoting on others' backs is defo more classy. Don't treat it as hostility, more like a really friendly advice ;) But, hey, let's not hijack Gregfeel's comments even more - shoo us all now! ;) | User Comment Submitted by Nordischsound on 9 July 2023
@Linus: most folks arround should know my version allready, so there is no need for "highjacking". Comparing different covers of the same song isn't something unuasual. Look at this https://csdb.dk/release/?id=201828, TheRyk also posted another Version there and it's totaly okay to me. If I had postet a YouTube or Spotify link here, I would share your point of view but Not in this Case. | User Comment Submitted by Linus on 9 July 2023
Cool stuff, Gregfeel, the picture rocks, too!
@Nordisch: I really like your enthusiasm but hi-jacking a release to leave an ad to your own production is bad form ;) | User Comment Submitted by Nordischsound on 9 July 2023
Ultimate Axel F. No need for samples. There are some parts Missing Here. Still a good affort | User Comment Submitted by Wile Coyote on 9 July 2023
Adding new life to an old classic. Thanks.. ^_^ | User Comment Submitted by Raistlin on 9 July 2023
Fantastic! Totally love this tune and, honestly, I thought there were enough covers already… apparently not, this one’s awesome! | User Comment Submitted by HCL on 9 July 2023
My first thought was why did they leave a sharp square edge in the middle of the nose when there's clearly a sprite-layer for the third color there?!? Then i realized it's actually pure hires bitmap!! Damn that's impressing! ..and that car also.. :-O | User Comment Submitted by Jammer on 9 July 2023
That seriously cool cover and I really dig the pic! |
