Funny and interesting idea. However, the Ü looks awfully strange. What happened, here? Would it be possible to keep the $ alongside the €?

Great work! I was wondering about the "no additional memory" and saw that it uses the memory under the char ROM - puts good use to this hard-to-access 4K RAM block, but this is still using memory, just not from BASIC :-)
Question about jp: why is the shifting of characters deactivated? I noticed when I tried to type lO instead of load as I always do, but the shifted O is not printed.

Local Stuff is three small programs that add ÄÖÅäöåÆØæøÜüß etc. to your C-64 without using any additional memory. Actually, if you don't mind using a non-standard memory start address, you can even add 1K more to your BASIC reserve.

Fourth exhibit is a program that runs the Japanese C-64 KERNEL and character ROM on a western C-64. C=+Shift to toggle between uppercase&graphics and uppercase&katakana character sets. Load up the katakana test program after running jp for more information.
