Loadback and such much sounds like the zipper series as well. Maybe just some POC attempt? :)

Misterious packer, probably wasn't even meant to be spread because it's bugged. Expects some code at $082a EVEN if you use the loadback function, relocates it at $d000 (not in RAM but into the sprite registers!) but when it tries to jmp $d000, fails. Works only if you use $08 as loadback. If you set loadback to $10 for example you have to manually patch

with
BD 2A 10
I've scanned all Sphinx/Science451 cracks and demos and i could find it used only in Mega-bang so far. |
