Oh by the way, Dafunk made a fucking great remix of this awesome tune from Jeff. I'm crying out of joy every time I hear it. Just so you know :')

Ridicule? More like a homage; "ah, you made me think of this, here's another take on it".

And yes, the (sad) truth is that many C64 graphicians seem to not dare standing on their own legs, without copying existing pieces. It's part of the scene, always has been, and everybody knows it. No ridicule to be had there, but if you can't stand seeing the originals posted, then don't copy stuff.

Leon, everyone gets ridiculed from time to time. You've proven your talent and skill so there isn't stuff big enough to hurt the reputation you have earned. Meanwhile I would like to say, welcome back to everyone who "quitted" the scene for indefinite time in past few months/years ;-)

I think by now, everybody knows that Leon rarely uses original themes to pixel, so this is not a big surprise isn't it? And he was not the only one in the Arok compo...

ps: please stop harrassing him, we can't afford losing him, or do we? :)

Now Leon, to think that you of all the sceners are the only one that get criticized just shows how modestly amusing this is.

It seems the only source of general dismay and annoyance is when I am doing
a copy, even though most "graphicians" do the same, and furthermore I am
getting ridiculed for it, even, so I have had enough. I stop pixelling on
the C-64. All the best, I am retiring for an indefinite time.
