The concept is pretty cool, but it looks like someone tried to shut down HAL with green puke... :P | User Comment Submitted by Richard on 24 March 2010
I think it is quite alright. :) | User Comment Submitted by Matt on 24 March 2010 User Comment Submitted by The Shadow on 24 March 2010
I like this art. It looks to me like a cool 3D/Bard's Tale type of game situated in the jungle. The Matrix overtones add a cool touch to the whole project... | User Comment Submitted by NecroPolo on 23 March 2010
No you don't ;)
Never worry, you did not upset me by any means :)
I just find amusing that folks try to take this release seriously - but this is not that.
Ages ago I did some GFX the classic way with Koala Painter. No conversion, I did it from the scratch.
Believe me, those were even uglier than this one :D | User Comment Submitted by FATFrost on 23 March 2010
yo, i'm sorry, i didn't mean to upset you, i just think you could have made a better screen yourself without converting anything. i DO like the pic! :) | User Comment Submitted by NecroPolo on 23 March 2010
@Lord Frost: I'm not really motivated by that - I do the painting with notes - besides it was intended to be total mess. Having two fine pictures and totally butchering them was quite fun, anyway :)
As I've said, I just wanted some visual compliment for the Stateless demo and this is the version that was left out of the final demo. I read CreaMD's thread about the small number of releases and sent this one to him as a GFX release.
Vote that up or down, like or hate, start witch-hunt (AAARGH THAT'S WIRED AAAARGH AND HE EVEN ADMITTED LETS BURN HIM AAARGH) or just accept of what it is - with all due respect any of that doesn't really affect me at all, especially not as a GFX man because I'm not that ;)
Peace out,

When converting looks that bad why do it?? Surely its better to make a fresh pic and get recognition for developing the skillz? | User Comment Submitted by NecroPolo on 23 March 2010
Double bingo :)
Although in details it does have the process that you call hand-pixeling, it is a conversion. Failed or not - it became a total mess as I intended. Wired like Johnny Mnemonic.
Sure, finding pics that may be fitting compliments to a certain music release, adjusting / cutting / re-drawing stuff with MS Paint "with axe", then converting and re-drawing more details with P1 don't match the GFX value of a real C64 pic. I consider those guys who can do it to be artists of a somewhat limited medium. It is really amazing what they can produce on C64.
I'm not part of it, I never claimed to be a graphician, just released all the workfiles that weren't included in the final intro and that's it.
This fuzzy pic is as good as it gets - making it was fun, anyway :) | User Comment Submitted by Mr. Mouse on 23 March 2010
I don't like it, I agree it looks like a complete, somewhat failed, convert. | User Comment Submitted by enthusi on 23 March 2010
Hmm, moody but looks and feels like a complete google-'matrix'/'hal' convert to me actually. | User Comment Submitted by plagueis on 23 March 2010
