I used this cat's head as a schema, but ofcourse this is a hand-eye coordinated similar copy of the head. As wrote at bottom, i lost all the starting phases and other workstages with everything long time ago, because my hdd crashed. Only 1 prv. screenshot returned back to me, because sometimes i sent prv's to some friends. Then reconverted the remaining prv and started to work on it again and this unfinished picture was my result. For me, this is another proof of my observation/design skills. Btw, im working on my new picture and trying to be made even better piece than previous works, but this time i can show all the workstages from absolute zero if you not belive to me. Just wait for it! | User Comment Submitted by enthusi on 18 June 2010
@Jammer:
not that I care _that_ much, but it just slightly distorted. Here: slight x-stretch and VERY slight rotation.
I.e. a second photo of that motive might be a perfect match right from the start:

ragnarok: obviously not wired - face proportions differ, see? ;) | User Comment Submitted by Ragnarok on 19 May 2010 User Comment Submitted by duce on 8 April 2010
umm.. our cat has been missing for a week now... anyhow, nice nice work here. Hopefully you'll get this finished someday. | User Comment Submitted by NecroPolo on 6 April 2010
Although I like Veto's pic slightly better, this magnificent one deserves its place. C'grats! | User Comment Submitted by DeeKay on 6 April 2010
Added a NUFLI version. Might need a few fixes, but looks really nice already. No time to PRG this now, start with SYS$3000/12288 (or load into the editor!) | User Comment Submitted by Mäestro AmN on 5 April 2010
OMG! Thanks for all the votes what leaded to the #1 place! Im very happy now! | User Comment Submitted by Jazzcat on 5 April 2010 User Comment Submitted by Mäestro AmN on 4 April 2010
DK : Sure ok, as you think. | User Comment Submitted by Edhellon on 4 April 2010
Hoild, speaking bravely of a tool he has never seen. Sure, I guess photoshop would also be rather usable from the command-line. | User Comment Submitted by Hoild on 4 April 2010
DK: I don't need a GUI, especially not a bloody Python one. Gimme teh sourcez plz! ;] | User Comment Submitted by DeeKay on 4 April 2010
Great stuff, one of AMN's best IMHO! But WHY the flickering? <:-) I know, we still haven't released the converter, mea maxima culpa, still found another bug in the pythonGUI today while showing it to Ragnarok, and we still need that Windows all-in-one EXE that does not require python from alih...
should i put this through it and add a NUFLI version? | User Comment Submitted by jailbird on 4 April 2010
OMG cat to the rescue! \:D/ | User Comment Submitted by Moloch on 4 April 2010
Top quality! Looks very similar to my cat, she is sitting here looking at the screen even.

Really beautiful work, love the colour combinations. Seeing this on the SceneSat broadcast was awesome enough, on the real hardware its puuurfect :-) | User Comment Submitted by iAN CooG on 3 April 2010 User Comment Submitted by FMan on 3 April 2010
Aww, poor thing is so frightened.
| User Comment Submitted by booker on 3 April 2010
Top notch stuff!
Please finish it :) | User Comment Submitted by Cobra/Samar on 3 April 2010 User Comment Submitted by Joe on 3 April 2010
Don't forget the rule of those 136 colors which derives from the existing 16 if dithered as Crosshatched or Lined,
which then looks rather ok. At least to my own experience as a small thumb on the screen.
Though, the interlace is a bit tough as is with all horizontal lines of interleaved colors.
I'd guess on the real hardware and telly the thing works very well?!
And obviously enough on the real BIG THING ;D | User Comment Submitted by camper on 3 April 2010
brilliant gfx! like it a lot.
if veto will get #1, you should get at least #2. | User Comment Submitted by SplAtterpunk on 3 April 2010
My jaws have just dropped to the ground. Outstanding! | User Comment Submitted by Mäestro AmN on 3 April 2010

AMN originally made this picture for last year's BP, but ran out of time. Then he had a harddrive crash last summer and lost all phases + data of this picture (and a lot more). He started again from a preview jpeg he sent in email to me (before the hard drive crash) which I converted back to C64 colors (but as you can imagine since it was an interlace picture sent in a lossy progrssive format a lot of info was lost) and all subsequent pixeling was based on that. That's why the early workstages are missing. | User Comment Submitted by Mäestro AmN on 3 April 2010
I planned to release this pic originally at BreakPoint 2009, but not finished till deadline. I sent screenshot from the last available workstage to some friend last year. Meanwhile my hdd crashed with everything, Eddie helped me to bring back 2 rough bmp somehow and i choosed a yellowish one to start the rework. I used Oswald's P1 to reconvert the raw bmp to drazlace, then continued in Clarence's Pixel Perfect. Ofcourse i don't have the time again to finish, but i decided to release it. :) | User Comment Submitted by Yazoo on 3 April 2010
the result looks really great - respect! (but joe is right with the workstages) | User Comment Submitted by Joe on 3 April 2010
Really great! The workstages seemed awkward though, like a colorised prefixed image.
