Could have been nice but the obvious algorithmic dither patterns put me off. It destroys any sense of depth to me.
Try pixeling in Project one directly instead.
It's not the converting that bothers me, nor that it wasnt made "ON A REAL C64 (TM)". | User Comment Submitted by The Shadow on 30 June 2010 User Comment Submitted by NecroPolo on 28 June 2010
Witch hunt, witch hunt, holy-glory witch hunt, tumdedum... :)
If something is an original artwork that is converted to C64 with this level of care and attention then why do you care if it is a conversion or not?
Or, started-and-finished-on-C64-only pics count as C64GFX these days? Then, I estimate at least half of quality GFX could be rejected from the scene. C'mon, many legandary GFX folks used matrix papers for many legendary pics back in the time and that is not a much different process from what new (and fine) pic converters do - still, no one seems to moan about that, not now, not back then...
F'n great pic, that is. Reminds me of Mr Hemingway's story telling: big depth under the surface. | User Comment Submitted by FATFrost on 27 June 2010
yes, as i like the darker side of emotional artworks. hidden spaces that everyone knows, but doesn't want to admit.

I created the sketch in Painter Essentials as a greyscale image, then converted and colored it. So, yes it IS a converted image but afterwards I changed about 70-80% of the image by hand.
I'm really glad that you at least like the idea of the image. :) | User Comment Submitted by PAL on 27 June 2010
It is a nice image and I would really love to have seen that not converted stright out from the file you have created in psd or the like, it would be a fantastic image with more edges and contrast and finess that manual pixels could have done here... Like the image even it looks very converted... | User Comment Submitted by Hoild on 27 June 2010
Nice, but it does indeed look to be converted GFX. At least it has an atypical palette and moody, stylistic composition. | User Comment Submitted by FATFrost on 27 June 2010
i like it too but it looks converted. | User Comment Submitted by Matt on 27 June 2010
