Wow, even the color data seem pretty "pure" for once! :)
Yes koala rocks. Weird dither though, everything looks jagged. | User Comment Submitted by chriz74 on 17 September 2010 User Comment Submitted by psych on 16 September 2010
Archmage! This is truly fantastic! | User Comment Submitted by MAC on 16 September 2010
Really like the motive... and those colors... just WOW! | User Comment Submitted by DeeKay on 14 September 2010
Amazing, as always. Looks so FLIish! ;-D If Arch releases stuff like that just for fun on CSDb pretty much scares the shit outta me what he's got in store for us in the X2010 gfx compo! 8))) | User Comment Submitted by Mix256 on 14 September 2010
Stunning, as always. That face kind of reminds me of an end boss. :D | User Comment Submitted by PAL on 13 September 2010
I must say wow again... how do you do these... layers in thimantes)not like a copycat or anything) what do you do... it is amazing what control you have over the pixels and their color in your images... What is your secret as some parts are more raw painted shapes while others are more photolike drawings... I love your trade man!
Your style is beyond the c64 arts in a way, it is just you! | User Comment Submitted by Dane on 13 September 2010
And this is why he is the Archmage and we're all just students at Hogwart's. | User Comment Submitted by Frantic on 13 September 2010
In a way this image is quite symptomatic of C64 activity in 2010. The motive sort of implies that archmage was sitting next to his C64 when he created his c64 image, rather than using his c64 to create the image. Indeed, this hypothesis seems confirmed when looking at his photo of his computer corner from the computer setups photo thread, with a PC next to the SX64, from roughly the same angle as it is depicted in this image:

Not that this makes the picture any worse in any way, and of course this is what everyone does in these days, but I just find it a bit amusing that this fact could be seen in the picture motive. :)
(..although I am of course aware that the SX64 probably isn't the workstation of choice for any C64-graphician, due to the very small screen, even for those who actually create their graphics on the C64 itself.) | User Comment Submitted by Sasq on 13 September 2010
Another image made with that magical palette only Archmage has access to... Stunning, as usual. | User Comment Submitted by Alias Medron on 13 September 2010
Great! You must love that SX of yours , don't you?? :P | User Comment Submitted by Frantic on 13 September 2010
Yes, extra points for the use of multicolor. | User Comment Submitted by Stone on 13 September 2010 User Comment Submitted by Sander on 13 September 2010
Amazing picture! So much style. Can't think of many other 'gfxians' having such a distinct style, great technique, and talent. | User Comment Submitted by Linus on 13 September 2010 User Comment Submitted by Frost on 13 September 2010 User Comment Submitted by Ksubi on 12 September 2010
Multicolour mode at its best! Love the battered looking SX and the free flowing colour swirls that have become Archmages trademark. Awesome! | User Comment Submitted by PAL on 12 September 2010
I really love the hair the most in this too... that hair color or style almost is metal in a way, would be cool as a gold 3d surface... cool phong on it! Multicolor is the best... he he... and it is more easy to create, I really do not handle all those odd editors for all the different formats out there, do not dig them in a way... multicolor is what it is and it is good. | User Comment Submitted by leonofsgr on 12 September 2010
great great!!!!!! yeah! mc roxx! | User Comment Submitted by Skate on 12 September 2010
very different piece of work. i liked the colors + concept. pro graphician eyes can see some lacking parts but it's a 10/10 from me. | User Comment Submitted by Hoild on 12 September 2010
I fancy the hair -- nice atypical colour use there. | User Comment Submitted by Joe on 12 September 2010 User Comment Submitted by daison on 12 September 2010 User Comment Submitted by Wile Coyote on 12 September 2010
