This is my favourite of the new STE'86 pics. | User Comment Submitted by Sledge on 14 October 2010
I'm so in love with the way you paint. And the multi color and limited palette only brings more life to your pixels I think. | User Comment Submitted by STE'86 on 10 October 2010
probably because i used to do this professionally :) 8-10 hour turnaround times were the norm then. a bit rusty these days but photoshop helps to get the speed back up :) much faster than koala at least. | User Comment Submitted by Jak T Rip on 10 October 2010
This is slowly getting frightening. How can you release such excellent quality stuff so fast?
Impressive. | User Comment Submitted by Exploding First on 9 October 2010 User Comment Submitted by Mr. Mouse on 8 October 2010 User Comment Submitted by Perplex on 7 October 2010
This is getting better and better with each new picture released. Wow!
I also like the way you made every alternate line of the background black to get an added feeling of depth. (Kind of reminds me of a demo part I worked on recently, somehow..) ;)

Not too keen on the looks of the grey stuff at the sides. Don't know why exactly. | User Comment Submitted by Stainless Steel on 6 October 2010 User Comment Submitted by Jetboy on 6 October 2010 User Comment Submitted by Stinky on 6 October 2010
Superb, my favourite 2000AD character. Technically very good, but it would be nice to have a background scene. | User Comment Submitted by DeeKay on 6 October 2010
Very very good, Steve, keep em coming! 8)
Gotta second Motion here: Just *why* didn't you enter the x2010 compo? Mail-in entries were allowed!... | User Comment Submitted by Wile Coyote on 6 October 2010
I like the use of vibrant colour combos. I also like how clearly defined each object is. | User Comment Submitted by Motion on 6 October 2010
God damn! This is another visual treat. Why man, did you not submit an entry for X'2010? | User Comment Submitted by Moloch on 6 October 2010 User Comment Submitted by Ksubi on 5 October 2010
Love it. 10/10! Pure master craftmanship. | User Comment Submitted by Joe on 5 October 2010

YES! At first sight I recognized it is based on Rogue Trooper, I played that speccy game on my Amiga via emulation. | User Comment Submitted by Yogibear on 5 October 2010
I like your pic more than the original! | User Comment Submitted by Steppe on 5 October 2010 User Comment Submitted by Stainless Steel on 5 October 2010
Damn Steve, give Pete a good kick in the arse to go and code you a proper meanteam demo for those pictures! | User Comment Submitted by PAL on 5 October 2010
Another great one... I like the work you do... | User Comment Submitted by STE'86 on 5 October 2010
I make no apologies for this being another 2000ad release. i am inspired by its whole "feel" atm. In particular the art of Dave Gibbons and Colin Wilson. 2000ad also translates so very well to the c64 palette i think.
this pic is based on the cover art from the first ever Rogue Trooper strip in 2000ad see here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rogue_Trooper for background for the uninitiated. |
