Vortex 42 was born when the group The Limit Crew changed name in late June 1987. Or rather, most of The Limit Crew went on to form Vortex 42. Triac, who was a member instead formed The Warlocks. To my knowledge they separated as friends.
In Red L.E.D. Bilbo announce that Newline joined the group.
In November 1987 many members left to start Science 451. The rest of the group seems to have continued on Amiga, but had some activity on the C64.
