Wicked sound but gets old a bit after couple of loops ;) I guess it's procedural and sounds a little different everytime?

added my size reduced sid, I could shave off 1000-1300 bytes more but ok, the big chunk is what matters.

Thanks! The loop was the basic essence of my first experiments with midi-input into the editor. Then the original sequence was too much big-beatish for a techno-topiced event, so it’s sliced down to the bare beat…yep. And I was probably still overwhelmed from tweaking knobs on that old controller and jamming around ;-)

Thanks to Ian for the analysis, I totally lost the exporter-issue from the radar but will definitely look into it. Also sid export in work...

beat is alright, but even for the genre a wee underwhelming looping-wise (not to whine about size, which me as a coder normally does)

I like it. the size I'm guessing is because it was made in Deflemask maybe?!?

This is an entry for a music compo, thus IMHO it is completely irrelevant if it uses 1k or 64k of RAM, as long as it makes sound and runs on stock C64.

That being said, it's a cool loop, but doesn't really get anywhere and feels more like a short experiment rather than a finished composition to me.

With the help of SidDecompiler I managed to reduce it to 16kb by removing unused code and data, so pratically half of the allocated memory is unused.

I don't know, sounds good but it's just a short loop that takes 30kb in memory, I don't know if it it's _that_ worthy wasting so much memory for this little. Maybe some cleanup and space optimization is in order.
