Also (I wish you could edit comments), ESI's remarks in the intro to World Games V1.1 +D are a direct response to the remarks in this release, dating this before Sept. 13th, 86.

This absolutely was released in 1986. In NEPA/Alliance/Bencor war files from 1986 this release is brought up several times and referred to as a pre-release that was stolen(?) from the company and was not copy protected.

I have a vague recollection that I was very excited about having this game before it's actual release date. I think that it might have been cracked and spread already in late 86.

Scrolltext also states 1987, so I changed release date from 1986 to 1987.
@Motion: why didn't you fix it yourself in such an obvious case ;)

Played this game quite alot. Tried it today, gosh, it's soooooo slloowwww. Neat music and gfx though.
