It was made in about 10 days, a few hours each day while in Calpe, Spain on holiday. I had never programmed in asm before but having watched Shallan's stream I decided I was ready to have a go. The sprite multiplexing was probably the hardest bit, just fine-tuning to reduce glitches to a minimum. Monkey is sprites 0-3. The cage uses sprites 0, 5, 6, 7 unless the monkey is there in which case it uses the key (4). Sprites 4-7 are re-used for each row of enemies. Ran out of sprites for the pineapple so that is characters. Maybe I'll add a title screen, music and better sfx but I've got what I needed from the project.
