This little demo came about when realizing the ZX Spectrum has nearly the
same colors as the VDC-chip of the C128. DeeKay of Crest kept nagging me
do to something with this and even sent me nearly 200 images he chose
from https://zxart.ee/ to entice me.

Finally, more than a year later I found the time to implement a display-
routine that takes a standard ZX Spectrum .SCR-file and showed my results
to him. He liked this very much but insisted on adding a fastloader,
packer, music and effects - something out of my scope of expertise.
Gladly DeeKay managed to get JackAsser of BoozeDesign interested and
together with some other brilliant people they released their
"Colour Spectrum"-demo on Jul, 10th 2021.

I still felt like I should release my own project, since it has some
features that would not fit in the context of a demo. First, there is the
4-in-1-viewer that you really need a Commodore 1901 or other multisync-
display-device for. A Commodore 1084 sadly won't work for this. Secondly,
I wanted the option to display single files, so that is included as well.
And third: Since "Colour Spectrum"'s release there has been a heated
discussion on CSDB on the dark yellow/brown-issue (see there for
technical background). This gave me the idea to try to implement an
emulation for this color, by switching between yellow and black each
single frame (software interlace). To be honest the result is not that
convincing most of the time because of the flicker and I would suggest
either trying to get a dark yellow-compatible display or cable or to just
enjoy the pictures with brown instead of dark yellow.
