Here’s another nice disk preservation find by Black Beard… this game was released on the PET and VIC20 in the early 80s, but there is absolutely zero information that we can find about the C64 version ever existing… until now. Prowler trained this with unlimited lives, installed a hi-score saver, and pixeled a custom title screen. In the docs, we included the enemies in their native petscii and their scoring values just like in the original documentation for the VIC20 cartridge release. There were bugs in the attract mode routine which made it so once the attract mode started, a player had to wait until all 3 ships were destroyed before a actual new game could be started. Also, if the attract mode game scored more than the actual hi-score, it would falsely update the displayed hi-score. Prowler disabled hi-score saving during the attract mode, and made it possible for the attract mode to be interrupted and skipped by pushing the fire button. Also included is custom directory art by One-Eyed Pirate. Enjoy this long lost early 80s shoot ‘em up Space Invader with a twist inspired game.
