We discussed this release concept way back when during lockdown in a virtual pub meeting. Alex dicussed his wish, and Peter said Mike is not even listening. My eyes were on the screen, looking up the game as I'd never heard of it. About one week later, I'd sourced the original and reveresed it and set up on EasyFlash. I contacted Alex, and said OK.... What's your requirement.

Domingo and Zsolt delivered the initial animations and I build them in.

The hardest part was the intro. All the deltas in the frames were hand calculated. Since then Gerald has written a delta identifier for KLAs (which has been used in subsequent projects).

One major stumbling block for me was the code running off the cartridge, then the IRQ and the NMI for the digis. This lead to so many crashes, as the memory management was now simply to complex. The whole paradox needed to be revisited. In the end we decided to leave out the digis, as the whole project would need to be rethought, reprogrammed and retested.

Domingo made some lovely frames for the end sequence, but infact the deltas were to big and we ran out of space !!! Maybe this will be released as a stand alone demo.... Who knows.

My Baby! It's here! Finally!

I loved Supremacy since I first played it on Amiga, and I was excited when I found out that there was a C64 version. Even though the original game was an impressive effort - they crammed the complete gameplay into one single load - I always felt that the C64 could do it so much better.

30 years later, I joined Excess and in one of the first meetings I attended, I proposed the improval of Supremacy as an EasyFlash project. Knight Rider came along pretty soon with a first EF version and asked me what I wanted to be included - a fatal mistake ;)

From this moment, the project accellerated and gained momentum. We included mouse support, a lot of graphics and animations and a general improvement of the look and feel.

And when I saw the new intro in full glory for the first time, I was close to tears, watching it over and over again :)

The game overall feels much more 21st century and the list of features we could imagine to include went on and on... but we had to decide where to stop - the more we put in, the longer it takes.

So here it is. Supremacy. My favourite real-time-strategy game of the old days, modernized for the 21st century.

I would (again!) thank all the creative and brave people who helped to make this real (See credits and applaude please ;) )

I hope you guys enjoy the game as much as we enjoyed working on it. It's a real labor of love :)

So now go and grab it while it's hot!
