For all number of reasons, namely real life, this release has been a long time in the making. I for one am happy to see it released. There were times I thought International Yie-Ar Kung Fu would become vapourware.

The title screen feat. the Yie-Ar Kung Fu logo is 100% based on the logo from the Konami game from 1984, as is the 1x1 hi-res font.

Three of the four backdrops were originally entered into the International Karate GFX Competition 2018. The fourth backdrop ‘Monaco’ represented one of those moments I would start something, only to abandoned it, then return to it, only to give up. Motivation came to finish the Monaco backdrop long after the International Karate GFX Competition was over.

Just for fun, I added some characters from Yie-Ar Kung Fu to each of the backdrops. The upper part of each screen was given a make-over inspired in part by Street Fighter II

Thanks to Case for digging deep in tough times to find the effort required, which is not always easy.

^_^
