deekay: actually it depends much more on the actual c64 used than on the monitor - the difference is caused by the inaccurate calibration of the video circuit in the c64. | User Comment Submitted by Sander on 3 November 2009
Nice :) Would make a neat screensaver. | User Comment Submitted by DeeKay on 3 November 2009
Ed: It also depends a lot on the CRT of the monitor used. Some do show a difference between e.g. 9696969 and 69696969, others don't... | User Comment Submitted by Ed on 24 December 2008
Played around with the latest Vice 2.1 and it looked pretty good :D
Not sure however they got the 969696 or the 696969 right though. Might be an issue. How does those extra settings work anyway? | User Comment Submitted by Oswald on 6 July 2007 User Comment Submitted by Ed on 6 July 2007
The reason why I never liked the emulators was (and unfortunately up to this date) still is the fact that the colors are not 100% emulated. When drawing a field 121212 and 212121 made a great difference on a normal television and computermonitor. On the emulator with the PAL-emulation activated there is still no difference which is a shame. Fix it!
Oh and by the way. This was just some bars I did back in 2001 when I was bored. Bore-bars! |
