Dark Tales is the result of a project I had been working on in 1994 together with an amiga-coding friend of mine. What we wanted to do was create an effect with unlimited possibilities. So not just the same images over and over, but something new everytime. I did succeed in that by incorporating a formula-generator in the code. This creates a new mathematical formule everytime a picturse is finished drawing by using the random function quite a lot. In total there are about a 100,000 different images, meaning that if you want to see them all you should run the demo for 2+ years. But if you don't want to do that, okay, that's your loss :)

What I wanted to create was not so much a 'real' demo but something you could have on your screens for hours, like the famous TiMELESS series on the pc back in the early 90's. Maybe even becoming somewhat hypnotic in the process. And I think I achieved my goal, as I've seen people getting completely 'lost' in the effect.

The part lingered around for 3 years more until I finally released it as a stand-alone demo for TP7.
