Summary
Submitted by BYB on 16 January 2011
Contrary to a common eq-char packer DP only stores pieces or groups of data, forced by masking it with "page1" in DP. Whatever, by unpacking only these datagroups will be restored. For example useful to patch code. A similar product to this is "Rizla" (also found in CSDb), but it will not pack eq-chars nor eliminate double-data.
Additional it is possible to store 25 comparisons into one datafile, unless memory has reached the limit.

quoting the whole scrolltext as summary:
welcome to difference packer. note: difference packer (dp) is not a common
packer, it collects differences between two files. dp will save three parts: 1.
depacker 2. data file 3. instruction chain(s) you can recognize these by
following: the depacker is named like "t-depack $xx03" or "i-depack $xx06", the
data file is named "name you've given $xxxx", the instruction chain(s) is named
"name you've given 01-25" important: the first two bytes of the depacker holds
the location of the instruction chain. the first two bytes of the instruction
chain holds the offset for data depacking. these values can be edited on your
own. it is strictly recommended that you load the saved files to the location
you've given, otherwise it won't work. only the instruction chain can be loaded
to any location, but don't forget to put these values in the depacker (1st two
bytes, eh!?) ok, enough of this terrible shit,... now to something
different.... the greetings. 1st i greet my best friend juergen, coz of him i
had the idea to code a tool like this. then ofcourse some best greets to my
brothers helmut and marco, who (i hope) will betatest this shit!:-) and at
least to all my friends not named here... hope 'ya like dis tool signing off now.....
